In VMware’s latest release of vSphere 5.5, vSphere Replication 5.5 was actually released before vCenter 5.5. There is a big issue if you are running vSphere Replication 5.1 and you have Automatic Check and Install Updates selected.

A new Tutorial is now available for the VMware fans. How to create and use VMware Host Profiles. In this tutorial we have 1 ESXi 5.1 Host in which we create a reference profile from. We then take this reference Host Profile and apply it to a second host which consists of a fresh install of VMware ESXi 5.1 with only the management IP configured. We can see how the nfs datastore and network settings get applied to the new ESXi 5.1 host.
