Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnect Chassis Discovery

The Cisco UCS Chassis is not automatically discovered by the Fabric Interconnect. We have to do 1 small thing before it appears in the UCS manager.

1. Log into Cisco UCS Manager and on the Equipment Tab expand Fabric Interconnects – Fabric Interconnect A|B – Fixed Module – Unconfigured Ethernet Ports. Right click the ports that you have used to connect to the Fabric Extender at the back of the Cisco UCS chassis and on the left hand side select Configure as Server Port. Do this for each port that connects to the chassis. You will then see the ports under Server Ports. Do this for Fabric Interconnect A and B.
