In this tutorial I will guide you through creating a MAC pool which will be assigned to your vNIC’s via a service profile.

1. Log into Cisco UCS Manager and click on the LAN tab – LAN – Pools – MAC Pools. Right click Mac Pools and select Create MAC Pool. Give the Pool and name and Description. Click Next.

2. Click Add to Add a MAC address block.

3. Enter in a MAC starting point, this can be any hex numbers that you like, then specify how large you would like the block of addresses to be. In this example I will be creating a MAC address block of 256. Click Ok.

4. The MAC address pool is now listed. Click Finish.
