Today I came across an issue with 2 virtual desktops within VMware View 5. They somehow just didn’t want to recompose or rebalance. So, I searched around on how to move the persistent user data from one virtual desktop to another and came across this VMware KB article.
The article walks you through unregistering the current user from the problem desktop, registering the same user on a new spare virtual desktop and lastly, copying over the user data from the persistent disk associated with the problem machine to the new persistent disk associated with the new virtual desktop.
