Last week has been a busy week and I’ve only had time to sit down and get this tutorial done for tonight. This tutorial will guide you through the process of recovering a mailbox store using SnapManager for Exchange Recovery Wizard. This week i’ve also made a start on a multistore virtual filer setup and have come up with a few commands that i’ve added into the Data Ontap CLI Pocket Guide under the section vFiler – Multistore.
I’ve made a start on Netapp’s Single Mailbox Recovery tutorials. First up is the installation. Over the next few days i’ll be working on a few more tutorials for Single Mailbox Recovery. For example mounting previous snapshots with snapdrive, reading edb files, opening up a live Exchange mailbox store as a target so that I can restore individual mail items. A bonus with Single Mailbox Recovery is that it works with some third part Exchange backup programs. Check the documentation in the Resources area for further pre-requisites and features.
You’ve installed SnapDrive, setup your luns, installed SnapManager for Exchange and completed your configuration via the configuration wizard. It’s now time to create your first backup. This tutorial will guide you through creating your first backup using the SnapManager for Exchange Backup Wizard.
I’ve just completed the SnapManager for Exchange Configuration Wizard tutorial. This is the first step after installing the software before you can begin configuring your backups. The next tutorial will guide you through configuring your exchange backups.
Installing Netapp SnapManager for Exchange Tutorial will guide you through installing this software on your Exchange server. The version I’m using in this tutorial is SnapManager for Exchange 6.0. Next tutorial will be guiding you through the SnapManager for Exchange configuration wizard.
Installing SnapDrive for Windows tutorial has just been completed in the Netapp section. SnapDrive documentation links have also been added to the Resources area. I’m also working on a SnapManager for Exchange and Single Mailbox Recovery tutorial which will be released in the next few days.
I’ve finally completed the HP Procurve Advanced CLI Commands Pocket Guide Reference for everyone. I have also included URL links to the manuals on the HP Procurve site for your convenience (located under Resources).
I’ve started on a Windows 2008 R2 Powershell 2.0 Pocket Guide. Similar to my Netapp CLI Pocket Guide I will continue to add to the list as soon as I can, keep up to date with my RSS feed at the top right hand corner of the site. I will also tweet and facebook updates. Hope this comes in handy for you.
Welcome back everyone. Hope you all had a great Xmas and a joyful New Years Eve and I wish you all the best for the new year. I will be kicking off 2011 with this tutorial on Microsoft’s Network Policy Server NPS (RADIUS or what used to be called IAS). In this tutorial I will show you how to install and configure NPS to authenticate remote VPN users that are connecting via a Cisco ASA Firewall.
